Early bird registration is now open for Georgetown’s signature race — the 13th Annual Bridge2Bridge Run, happening Saturday, March 21, 2026. Presented by Mark Nash State Farm, this popular community event brings together runners, walkers, and supporters to benefit Friendship Place, a nonprofit serving individuals and families in need throughout Georgetown.

This year’s event promises an exhilarating experience with a 5K, 12K, 13.1-mile half marathon, and a free, 1-mile Kids Fun Run welcoming little runners ages 12 and under. With over 1,000 participants in last year’s race, the 2026 event is expected to break records once again, drawing walkers, runners, and spectators from near and far.

New for 2026, runners can enjoy the added benefit of professional pacers to help them stay on track, as well as a VIP Post-Race Reception
featuring light bites, live music, and special guests.

Friendship Place has worked tirelessly for over two decades to provide crisis support and promote self-sufficiency within the Georgetown County community. The non-profit’s initiatives include feeding the hungry, praying with and for neighbors, providing childhood literacy tutoring and teen engagement in a high-energy, fun environment, and creatively addressing unmet
needs in cost-effective ways.

“It’s a true honor for Friendship Place to serve as the race directors and beneficiary of the 13th Annual Historic Georgetown Bridge2Bridge Run. Every step taken during this race helps a neighbor take a step toward hope, healing, and a brighter future,” said Marie Livingston, Executive Director of Friendship Place. “ The outpouring of support from local businesses, volunteers, and runners each year is truly inspiring. This event is a testament to the strength and generosity of our community. The proceeds will directly impact our ability to empower neighbors across Georgetown County. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued enthusiasm and commitment from our local businesses and supporters.”

The Bridge2Bridge Run offers a scenic and rewarding course through historic Georgetown, starting at the Rice Museum Clock Tower. Runners in the 12K and half marathon cross Georgetown’s iconic Highway 17 bridges, taking in breathtaking views of the Waccamaw, Pee Dee, Black, and Sampit Rivers. Half-marathoners continue through Craven’s Grant before finishing at the Maritime Museum, while the 5K stays within the charming Historic District.

Along the way, participants are cheered on, celebrated, and inspired by the supportive atmosphere and stunning scenery.

Volunteers are vital to the Bridge2Bridge Run’s success, and the race committee welcomes individuals and groups to contribute their time and enthusiasm. Opportunities include pre-race registration assistance, course setup and various race day tasks. Those interested in
volunteering can sign up at bridge2bridgerun.com/volunteers.

Additionally, Bridge2Bridge invites local businesses to consider sponsoring, offering a unique opportunity to support a community event and gain visibility among participants and spectators.

This year’s sponsorship packages include a mix of digital exposure and on-site visibility, where branding is in front of our growing community of participants and supporters. For more details on sponsorship opportunities, please visit bridge2bridgerun.com/sponsors.
